Danielle catches a man in one of her traps, and gives him to Sayid for questioning. Sayid beings the man back to the hatch, and under interrogation, the man claims his name is Henry Gale, he is from Minnesota, and he and his wife crashed on the island in a hot air balloon 4 months earlier. Henry describes the balloon in detail:
GALE: What do you want to know?
SAYID: Everything.
GALE: She's 140 feet high, 60 feet wide. And when she's
up in the air 550,000 thousand cubic feet of helium and a 100,000
thousand of hot air keep her up. And if you could look down on
her you'd see a big yellow smiley face on top.
SAYID: Why would you travel in that way?
GALE: Because I was rich. Because it was my dream. And
Jennifer thought it would be neat.

Despite his attention to detail, Sayid does not believe his story. Ana-Lucia coerces Henry into creating a map to his balloon crash site. With this information in hand, Sayid, Ana-Lucia and Charlie set out to find the balloon.
Eventually, they locate the crash site, and there is indeed a large, deflated hot air balloon caught on the trees, with a grave site beneath. However, in the grave is not Jennifer Gale, as Henry claimed, but the body of the real Henry Gale.
