Danielle is first discovered by Sayid living in a bunker hidden in the jungle. She claims to have come to the island on a scientific expedition, her ship drawn to the island by the radio broadcast of the numbers. ONce on the island, she gave birth to her daughter Alex, who was promptly abducted by the Others. Danielle also tells Sayid that the rest of her team came down with the "sickness" and she had to kill all of them, including her husband Robert. Danielle often joins the survivors' expeditions on the island, hoping to find her long lost daughter, Alex.
Eventually, at the radio tower, Alex is reunited with her daughter Alex.
