The French Transmission
Discovered by: Sayid, Kate, Charlie, Sawyer, Boone & Shannon
The group goes on a hike to higher ground to try out the transceiver. What they discover is another signal blocking them from transmitting, an apparent distress call from a french speaking woman. Sayid calculates the iterations in the message and determines that it has been playing over and over for 16 years. Sayid asks them not to tell the rest of the group and destroy all their hopes of getting rescued.

Polar Bears
Discovered By: Sayid, Kate, Charlie, Sawyer, Boone & Shannon
On their trek they hear something charging toward them and they turn to run...all except Sawyer. He stands his ground with a gun pointed at the target running through the high weeds toward him and at the last minute he shoots. It ends up being a polar bear, baffling the group as to why such a thing would be on a tropical island.

Michael Estranged From Walt
First Revealed: to viewers and Locke
Walt tells Locke that he lived with his mother in Australia until she died two weeks before. This was the first hint that Michael was not a part of Walt's life since he made no mention of his father during the conversation.
LOCKE: Not really, it's a better game than checkers. You play checkers with your Pop?
WALT: No, I live in Australia with my mom.
LOCKE: You've got no accent.
WALT: Yeah, I know. We move a lot. She got sick. She died a couple of weeks ago.

HURLEY: How do you know how to do all that?
SAYID: I was a military communications officer.
HURLEY: Oh yeah? You ever see battle?
SAYID: I fought in the Gulf War.
HURLEY: No way. I have a buddy who fought over there. He was in the 104th Airborne. What were you, Air force, Army?
SAYID: The Republican Guard.

Locke's Secret (Unknown to viewers what the secret is)
First Revealed to Walt
While talking to Walt about backgammon, Locke asks him if he wants to know a secret.
LOCKE: Backgammon's the oldest game in the world. Archeologists
found sets when they excavated the ancient ruins of Mesopotamia --
5,000 years old. That's older than Jesus Christ.
WALT: Did they have dice and stuff?
LOCKE [nods]: But their dice weren't made of plastic. Their dice were made of bones.
WALT: Cool.
LOCKE: Two players. Two sides. One is light, one is dark. Walt, do you want to know a secret?

The Pilot Killed By Monster
Revealed To: Sawyer, Shannon, Boone and Sayid
Told By: Charlie
While discussing the polar bear, Boone asks if that is what killed the pilot. Kate shoots Charlie a look knowing that he broke the confidence Jack asked them to keep about the death of the pilot. Charlie obviously discussed this with other people, Boone being one of them. It's unknown who else might know right now.
BOONE: Think that's what killed the pilot?
[Kate looks at Charlie.]
CHARLIE: No that's a tiny, teeny version compared to that.
