SAYID TORTURED PEOPLE DURING INTERROGATIONS Confidence Man (CON) While Sayid was in the Republican Guard he interrogated and tortured prisoners to get them to talk. He uses this method on Sawyer when he won't tell them where Shannon's inhalers are.

SAYID'S FRIEND NADIA Solitary (SOL) We find out in flashbacks who it is in the pictures that Sayid keeps. Nadia turns out to be a childhood friend/sweetheart from Iraq who later is part of the Kurdish and Shiite insurgents. SAYID TALKED FRIEND INTO SUICIDE BOMBING The Greater Good (TGG) Sayid's friend Essam wanted to back out of the suicide bombing mission, but Sayid helped talk him into it so the CIA would tell him where Nadia was. Essam shot himself after Sayid confessed that he was working for the CIA and why.
