RUNNING LIKE THE DEVIL

Ana is running on the beach and comes across Locke sitting and eating bananas. Noting how hard she had been running he remarks "you were running like the devil's chasing you" Ana: "Maybe he is". The same line was used by Desmond to Jack when he met him running the tour de stad in Man of Science, Man of Faith.

IT'S A MIRACLE

Sun tells Jin she is pregnant and then also confesses to him that he was the one that was sterile and not her. She swore to Jin that she had never been with another man.

Quote:

JIN [subtitled]: Why didn't you tell me?

SUN [subtitled]: How could I?

JIN [subtitled]: If I can't -- how can there be a baby?

SUN [subtitled]: I swear to you, Jin, I have never been with another man. That is the truth.

JIN [subtitled, taking a long pause]: Then it's a miracle.

MARTYRS & PROPHETS

Jack walks into the armory to see Henry Gale reading the book by Dostoyevski. Jack asks him how he likes it.

Quote:

JACK: How is it?

GALE [reading from the book]: Men reject their prophets and slay them, but they love their martyrs and honor those whom they have slain. [to Jack] So what's the difference between a martyr and a prophet?

JACK: Either way, it sounds like you end up dead.

GALE: That's the spirit.
