Sayid, ignorant of Charlie's problem, shows Charlie the drugs in the Beechcraft. Temptation is too strong and he takes a baggie behind Sayid's back. Sayid, "Drug runners in disguise. [He picks up a Mary statue.] The plane was loaded with heroin."

 

Later we find out that Charlie slipped a few Virgin Mary's in his napsack.
