- Sawyer to Jack about the Marshall:
| SAWYER:
Brother, you've got wake up and smell the bull crap here, rescue ain't
comin.' You're just wasting your time. You're trying to save a guy who
last time I checked had a piece of metal the size of my head sticking
out of his bread basket. Let me ask you something? How many of those
pills are you going to use to fix him up? |
| SAWYER: Heard the doctor was vacating the premises. Thought I'd best lay claims to my new digs before somebody else did. I could fix this place up real good. Might even find somebody to share it with me. |

| SAWYER: You've been waiting for this, haven't you? Now you get to be the hero again, cuz that's what you do, fix everything up all nice.

live for? Hey Jack, there's something you should know, if the tables
were turned, I'd watch you die. |
- Sayid to Danielle about her broken music box:
| SAYID: I could fix it for you. I could take a look at it if you freed my hands. I'm very good with mechanical things. I need my hands. |
DANIELLE: Sorry about the sedative. It was the only safe way for me to move you. You offered to fix my music box. After all I've done to you, striking you, shocking you, why?
SAYID: Do you want me to fix your music box or don't you? |

- Danielle telling Sayid the story of how she arrived on the island:

Our vessel was 3 days out of Tahiti when our instruments malfunctioned.
It was night, a storm, the sounds. The ship slammed into rocks, ran
aground, the hull breached beyond repair. So, we made camp. Dug out this temporary shelter. Temporary. Nearly 2 months we survived here, 2 months before... |

| JACK: Looks like you fixed everything but the patient. You had no business being in O.R. |
- Tommy, Charlie's friend, encouraging Charlie to steal from Lucy Heatherton's father:
| Tommy: Today's Friday, isn't it? After a weekend without a fix Monday should be bloody wonderful. Let's see how the future treats you then, hey Charlie. |
- Lucy to Charlie about the copier salesman Job her father has lined up for him:
| LUCY: Don't be. Dad's put the fix in. He's already demanded they buy 2 copiers to boost your confidence. Have you memorized the manual. |
- Christian to Sawyer in the Australian bar:
| CHRISTIAN:
Don't let the air conditioning fool you, son. You are here, too. You
are suffering. But, don't beat yourself up about it. It's fate. Some
people are just supposed to suffer. That's why the Red Sox will never
win the damn series. I have a son who's about your age. He's not like
me. He does what's in his heart. He's a good man maybe a great one.
Right now, he thinks that I hate him. He thinks I feel betrayed by him.
But what I really feel is gratitude and pride because of what he did to
me. What he did for me. It took more courage than I have. There's a pay
phone over here. I could pick it up and I could call my son. I could
tell him about all this. I could tell him that I love him. One simple
phone call and I could fix everything. |
| CLAIRE: You made glue? Wow. You should have one of those shows where you uh... fix up houses for people. |
- Charlie to Hurley, when he thinks Hurley isn't telling him the truth about the lottery:

You think you're the only person with baggage? You know what I was
doing when the plane went down? I was snorting heroine in the toilet. I
was such a junkie I couldn't even take a plane ride with out having a fix. I suppose that was your fault, as well? So how about it? |
- Jack to Boone, following Boone's terrible fall:
| JACK: Boone, listen to me. Listen! You are not going to die. I'm going to fix this, okay? I am going to save you. |
- Sarah's speech at the rehearsal dinner:
| SARAH:
Thank you. Wow, can I get another microphone? I think this one's been
drinking. A little over 2 years ago, I blew a tire out flipped over the
center divider into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by an SUV. My
back was broken. They all said it was irreparable. And then there was
Jack... and he promised he would fix me because that's the kind of guy he is. Because you are the most committed man I have ever known because you fixed me. I will dance at our wedding. To Jack, my hero. Jack. |

JACK:
I didn't write any vows. I've been trying to for a month, but I
couldn't and so I started to wonder why that was and as time went on it
only got worse because I'm because I'm not good at letting go or maybe
I'm afraid of what'll happen if I fail. But I know one thing. I
would've never been able to write anything as beautiful as what you
just said. And last night, Sarah, when you were talking about the
accident you got it all wrong. I didn't fix you. You fixed me. I love you Sarah and I always will.

| MICHAEL: We... we need to fix the rudder before we even start to think about that. |
- Charlie to Sayid regarding the injury to his face:
| CHARLIE: I'm not going back. You're going to have to fix it. |
