• Charlie tells Kate that he and Jack were separated running from the monster:

CHARLIE: We got separated! Look, I... I fell down, and he, he came back for me, that thing was just...

KATE: Did you see it?

CHARLIE: No. No! But it was right there. We were dead! I was. An-And then Jack came back, and he, he pulled me up. I don't know where he is.

 

 

• Jack explains to Kate that he doesn't want to know why the marshal had been pursuing her:

KATE: I want to tell you what I did - why he was after me.

JACK: I don't want to know. It doesn't matter, Kate, who we were - what we did before this, before the crash. It doesn't really -- 3 days ago we all died. We should all be able to start over.

KATE: Okay.

For the first week your family will assume you've been kidnapped. You will stay out of sight until they come to think you are dead. After that you will be free to move wherever you want.
