Blood

When Boone first arrives back at camp, Jack beleives that he is suffering form a loss of blood, but lter discovers that Boone is suffering from compartment syndrome: his blood is pooling into his injured leg. Boone needs a blood transfusion. Jack learns from Boone that his blood type is A-, and send Charlie to find someone with the same type blood. However, Charlie is unsuccesful as no one seems to know their own blood type. Jack is the only survivor who is able to give his blood to Boone, as he is O-, the universal donor.
