The Polar Bears
 Further Instructions

 

John builds a sweat lodge in order to talk to the island. After his vision is done, he stares into the fire and a polar bear lunges for him, making him scramble to get out of the lodge.

 

Later, Locke recognizes that the vision was telling him to rescue Eko from the polar bear. Locke and Charlie venture into the jungle, eventually finding the polar bear's cave. Locke enters alone.

 



 

Inside the, Locke finds a child's toy truck, and a skeleton wearing a DHARMA uniform. And Mr. Eko.

Locke manages to pull Eko away from the polar bear in the nick of time, using a homemade hairpsray torch to keep the bear away.
