Nikki is an actress with a guest starring role as "Corvette" on the show Expose. Her character is killed off, and though the producer offers her an opportunity to stay on the show, she demurres. However, she tells Howard, her boss, that she'll be staying in Sydney because she's in love with him.

At Howard's home, the two enjoy breakfast prepared by Howard's new chef, Paulo. Things seem to be going well when Howard suddenly dies of an apparent heart attack. It wasn't. Nikki and Paulo poisoned him to steal his diamonds.

And steal them they do, with the intention of going back to Los Angeles $8 million richer. Unfortunately, for them, they are flying on flight 815.
