Hurley and his father were working on an old Camaro (1972 Camaro SS) when he was just a kid.  After his father left apparently Hurley kept the car and eventually had totally restored.

Hurley finds an old VW bus that belonged to Dharma in the jungle and decides to try to get it running.  He was successful and took the boys out for a spin.
