The Fountainhead examines the life of an idealistic young architect, Howard Roark, who chooses to struggle in obscurity rather than compromise his artistic and personal vision by pandering to the prevailing taste in building design.The Fountainhead was made into a film in 1949, with Gary Cooper as Howard Roark, Patrica Neal as Dominique Francon. Rand herself wrote the screenplay.
(side note: The Fountainhead is one of Josh's favorite books. He gave Evie a copy of one for Christmas)
