Ken goes onto tell Hurley that he has a sneaker factory in Canada, but it was destroyed in a fire last month; 8 people died.

Hurley's financial advisor Ken Halperin tells him that every one of his stocks is up and that his interest in orange futures skyrocketed after the tropical storms hit Florida.

|
Hurley goes to Lenny in the hospital to find out about the numbers. Lenny tells him that Sam Toomey heard them while he was working in a town called Kalgoorlie. Sam Toomey's wife tells Hurley that when Sam went to a fair in Kalgoorlie he used the numbers he heard at the listening station to win a jellybean contest.

Sam Toomey is dead but his wife tells Hurley the story of the numbers. That her husband and Lenny were stationed at a listening post monitoring long wave transmissions out of the Pacific when they heard the numbers.

While trying to decipher Danielles maps, Shannon comes across Territoire Fonce, which means Dark Territory.

Ken told Hurley that he owned a box factory in Tustin.
