FLASHBACK SUMMARY:

Gabriella and her father come to see Jack about operating on his back. He has a tumor and Christian feels he is not a candidate for surgery. Gabriella's father says (Gabby translates) that he is not there to see Christian, he is there to see Jack. They are familiar with Jack's surgery on Sarah and wish for him to preform the same "miracle" with him. But on the table Gabriella's father passes away and she is quite distraught. Jack comforts her in the parking lot and it leads to quite a kiss that he returns.

When Jack goes home, Sarah tells him she has been with her mother. Jack apologizes when Sarah asks what happened with the surgery and he tells her that Gabriella kissed him and that he kissed her back. He says he wants to work on the marriage and get it back to where it was before.

Sarah comes clean as well, but it's not what Jack was hoping for. Sarah tells Jack the truth. That her mother was there to help her pack her things because she is leaving him. She's seeing someone else.
