FLASHBACK SUMMARY:

While living in Paris and working as a chef, Sayid is invited to work in the restaurant of a fellow Iraqi, Sami. Little does Sayid know, but his job interview is a trap. Sami's wife, Amira, believes that Sayid tortured her when they were both living in Iraq. Sami holds Sayid in his kitchen, demanding that Sayid confess to what he did to Amira. However, Sayid refuses. Later, Amira approaches Sayid alone, and tells him that she just requires that he acknowledge what he did to her. Sayid confesses, and Amira tells him in exchange, she will tell her husband that she misidentified him. She'd rather forgive Sayid than become like him.
