Help Out The Long Lost List: |
Episode Index 2:19 S.O.S. (SOS)
In flashbacks, Bernard and Rose are seen meeting for the first time when he helps get her car unstuck from the snow. In return, she offers to buy him a coffee for his trouble. A few months later, he proposes, at which point she tells him that she is terminally ill, with only a year to live, but he says he wants to marry her anyway. On their honeymoon, he takes her to Australia to see a faith healer, Isaac of Uluru. However, Isaac states he is unable to help her because the energy in Australia is not the right kind for her. He even offers to return Bernard's money, but Rose tells him to keep it, saying that she will tell Bernard that Isaac "fixed" her so that Bernard would stop trying to save her life. The very last flashback shows Rose dropping her pills while waiting at the airport. A still wheelchaired Locke returns them to her, revealing that she knows his secret and that he possibly knows hers. On the island, Bernard wants to enlist the help of other survivors to write "SOS" in the sand using a number of black rocks, but he argues with Rose, and does not have enough leadership skill to complete the project. Rose reveals to him that she had lied about Isaac, but that the island has healed her, so she does not want to leave. Mr. Eko and Charlie reveal that they are building a church. Locke, on the other hand, seems to start losing all his faith in the island as he seems to believe Henry that the numbers and the buttons do nothing. He asks Henry again if he actually did enter the numbers and pressed execute, but Henry refuses to reply. He goes to the beach for a breather. Rose appears and talks with him, implying that the island will heal his leg faster than normal. Jack wants to contact the Others and exchange Henry Gale for Walt. Having been given a gun by Ana-Lucía, Jack leaves the hatch, and treks with Kate into the jungle to go meet the Others at the drawn line. At one point, Kate sees a doll and despite Jack's warnings, she grabs it, briefly trapping both her and Jack into one of Rousseau's traps before they manage to extricate themselves. They continue their trek to the line where Kate was held hostage and was warned not to cross, where Jack shouts for The Others to appear. Nobody appears, and Jack insists they set up camp until they do show up; as night falls, romantic sparks are exchanged and just as the two are about to kiss, they hear the sound of someone running in front of them. An exhausted Michael with a torch runs and falls into Jack's arms. Episode Description courtesy of Wikipedia
