When Jack starts suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, he starts having hallucinations of his dead father on the island. He takes off into the jungle chasing his ghostly father, leaving the other survivors with a dwindling water supply. Jack accidentally falls off a cliff, barely hanging on to a tree limb when Locke finds him and pulls him to safety. After Locke tells Jack he must finish what he started, Jack finds himself alone in the jungle when he hears the familiar clinking of ice in a glass. He turns and see his father, following him through the jungle until he comes across a fresh water supply and an empty coffin.
