The French woman -- Danielle -- shocks the survivors by showing up to the camp, warning them about "the others" who are coming for the Claire's baby. While Michael and Jin ready the raft for sailing. Danielle takes Jack, Locke, Kate, Hurley, and Arzt to the Black Rock to retrive some dynamite. However, once they reach the "Dark Territory," Arzt comes running with the "monster"after him. Fortunately, Locke faces off with it again and seems to ease the "security system," as Danielle calls it, and it heads in the other direction. They eventually reach the Black Rock, which turns out to be a wooden ship. Black smoke is an ominous sign rising from the jungle. The raft sets sail. Jin and Sun make up, and Walt decides to give the dog Vincent to Shannon. The remaining 40 survivors plan to hide in the Hatch in anticipation of "the others."
