Desmond has a vision of Charlie being kiled by an arrow, and prevents it from happening. Later, Desmond, Jin, Hurley and Charlie save Naomi.

Jack saves Rose, by doing CPR on her.
Jack saves Charlie from a sure death from hanging. He doesn't give up after he and Kate cut him down from a tree and he's not breathing. Jack pounds on his chest and tries CPR. Just when it looks like he is dead for sure, Jack refuses and pounds some more, Charlie gasps for air. He's alive.
Jack chooses to save Sarah's life when she and Adam Rutherford come to the hospital after the car crash.
Jack agrees to operate on Ben, in exchange for Juliet's help with Kate and Sawyer's escape.

Jin is sent on a mission by Mr. Paik to threaten Mr. Han. After an initial vist to Han, Jin is sent back with Paik's heavy who has instructions to kill Han. Jin goes isnide instead, and beats Han. He tells Han afterwards that he "just saved your life."

Kate and Sawyer bring Karl with them when they leave Alcatraz island, saving him from Ben.

Libby convinces Hurley to not jump off the cliff.

Locke rescues Jack after his fall over the cliff.
Locke pulls a wounded Mr. Eko out of the polar bear's cave, saving him.

If Michael hadn't insisted that they make a stretcher to carry Sawyer after he fell ill from his bullet wound, Sawyer would have died.

During the Americans raid on the building where Sayid and his fellow soldiers are destroying documents, the Americans threaten to shoot the soldiers if they do not stop shredding the papers. Sayid, understanding the Americans' English, tells the Iraqi soldiers to stop shredding, to prevent the Americans from shooting them.

Sawyer saves Michael from drowning in the ocean, after he tried to stop the "others" from taking Walt.
Sawyer and Kate bring Karl with them when they leve Alcatraz island, saving him from Ben.
