Ana shot and killed the man who had shot her earlier. Her mother, the cheif of police, confronts Ana with the crime, and offers Ana help, which she refuses.
 
When Jack tries to place Christian's body on flight 815, he runs into some resistance from the ticket agent, Chrissy. Chrissy argues that Jack does not have the proper documentation for his father's body, and Oceanic simply can not transport it.
 
  Juliet tells Jack that the Others know who he is, and she presents him with a file as proof.

Jin's friend consults the "Destiny Book" before his interview at the hotel.
Later, during the interview, Jin's future boss reviews Jin's resume.

Juliet plays a videotape for Jack of herself holding a series of posterboards with a message, imploring Jack to botch Ben's surgery. Her message:

Juilet notes to Alpert that she signed all the documents that Mittelos gve her.
 
Ben shows Juliet Rachael's medical records, which claim that Rachael's cancer has returned.
 
Alpert shows Juliet a newspaper to give her the date before he turns the camera on Juliet's sister and nephew.
Kate's identity as a fugitive is revealed on the island, when Jack finds her mugshot in the Marhsal's jacket.

While on the run, Kate picks up a letter at the front desk of her motel for a "Joan Hart." Inside is something that makes her cry, and a stack of $20 bills.

Kate discovers that Sam Austen is not her actual father after she requests some photographs from his Commanding Officer. She realizes, based on the dates of the photos, Sam could not be her biological father.
Kevin is working on IRs and working on the fugitive recovery from Tampa, which is just "endless paperwork."
Randy tells Locke that he "cruised" Locke's file in Human Resources, and learned that Locke has never been in the armed foces.

Randy demands that Locke turn in his TPS reports by noon.

John hires a private investigator to look into Emily. Frainey, the investigator, gives Locke files on Emily and on Anthony Cooper.
 
Locke offers his driver's license and gun documents to the police officer who pulls him over for a burnt-out taillight.
 
Mike and Jan show Locke Eddie's police I.D.
 
Eddie tells Locke that the cops had a file on Locke and that they knew he had no record, and was amenable for coercion.

Dagne, Walt's nanny, returns to Michael a box full of letters that Michael had written to Walt, over the course of Walt's life. Michael gives Walt the box on the island.
Nikki and Paulo celebrate getting away with Howard Zuckerman's death, which is reported in the newspaper.
Sawyer's mysterious letter is written by a child. The letter reveals that a "Sawyer" is responsible for conning the parents of the author of the letter, ultimately resulting in the father killing the mother and himself. Soon after hearing the letter, Kate discovers that Swayer is the child who wrote the letter.
 
Hibbs gives Sawyer a file on the "real" Sawyer in exchange for the "Tampa job."
Omar gives Sayid a file on Nadia before he interrogates her.
 
 
CIA agents Cole and Hewett convince Sayid to infiltrate Essam's group by showing him Nadia's picture, providing information on her and threatening to arrest her if he does not cooperate with their plan. Later, after Essam has died, they hand him a dossier on Nadia, with information on her life in the United States.

Sayid and his fellow officers are frantically shredding documents during the first Gulf War when the Americans capture them.

Joe Inman, the DIA/CIA agent, says that he "liberated" Sayid and Tariq's personnel files after he shows Sayid the videotape of his village being gassed.
 
 
Shannon receives an acceptance letter from the Martha Graham Dance Company.
  
After her father's death, Shannon learns that he didn't have a will, but instead a living trust with his wife Sabrina. Shannon is left with nothing.
Sun is confronted by a woman who asks about her wedding photo in the newspaper. The woman later blackmails her.
 
Sun has a file on Mr. Kwon.
