Poor little
Aaron, Claire is so undecided what to do with you. First she plans to have a
wonderful life with Thomas. Then when Thomas backs out, she decides she'll have
to give you up for adoption. Then when a psychic has a fit and insists she be
the one to raise you, your fate is up in the air again. He finally convinces her
to fly to L.A., that there is a couple there that will adopt you. Well, that
didn't work out either, as the plane crash kind of made choice for both of you.

Claire: If Thomas and I don't get back together I'm putting
this baby up for adoption. I just wanted to find out what would give the baby
the happiest life.
Malkin: There is no happy life. Not for this child, not
without you.
Claire: I don't...
Malkin: It can't be another. You
mustn't allow another to raise your baby.
Claire: Okay, great. Thanks for
taking my $200.
Malkin: Oh, no look, take it Ms. Littleton, I am begging
you just to consider.
Claire: I can't raise this child by myself.

tells her husband that she almost had a baby and she couldn't do it
(meaning she couldn't live a conventional life with him).

Locke sits out
front of Anthony's house. Cooper gets into his car and he deals a blow to
Locke.

COOPER: Morning.
LOCKE: Morning.
COOPER: John, I know you like to drive through
my neighborhood. And I know that every now and then you like to park outside my
house. Now, I thought it might all stop when I moved, but here you are. Now, I
admit -- at first I thought it was funny -- now it's just annoying. So how about
you tell me what the hell it is you want.
LOCKE: Why?
COOPER: Excuse me?
LOCKE: Why?
COOPER: There is no why. Do you think you're
the first person that ever got conned? You needed a father figure and I needed a
kidney, and that's what happened. Get over it. And John, don't come back. You're
not wanted.
