Anthony Cooper goes by the name "Adam Seward" to attempt to con Mrs. Talbot (worth $200 million) into marrying him.

Juliet handcuffs herself to Kate, and claims that she was left behind by the Others. When arriving on the beach, she "saves" Claire from a immunity disorder related to her pregnancy. In reality, Juliet handcuffed herself to Kate to win the survivors' sympathy on Ben's orders. Claire's illness was actually brought on by an implant that the Others placed in her when she was under their control.

Kate conned some thugs into setting up a bank robbery just so she could
get into the bank depost box for the toy airplane.

Nikki pretended to be in love with Howard Zuckerman so to steal his $8 million worth of diamonds.

Sawyer
|
Sawyer conned women with sex, in order to get their money to
support his lifestyle.
On the island, Charlie and Sawyer pull a con on
the rest of the survivors as a means to gain control of the guns, and
thus power on the island.
Sawyer mentioned three different cons to Cassie, including the Tulsa bag scam.
In prison, Sawyer cons Munson into telling him where he
has hidden the $10 million he stole from the government. Sawyer then
uses this information to gain his own freedom.
An elaborate version of the Pigeon drop can be seen in the movie The Sting. Another version can be seen in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,
in which a criminal fools two tourists into cashing fake chips at a
casino after having them leave a deposit with him. When they return, he
is gone.
Looky Loo (mentioned in the movie Oceans 12), is where a small time
grifting crew set up and show several apartments as if they were the
owners or an agent acting as liasion to the owner and take the deposit
and first month's rent in cash from the new renters. Duplex with Danny DeVito is a Looky Loo scam.
Interesting trivia: Carlton Cuse said in a podcast, that the necklace con was from his own life experience.....he fell for it himself!!

Shannon conned Boone for money several times by involving herself with not-so-desirable men to gain Boone's sympathy.

* The Fake Hatch: The Others create a fake village, with a fake hatch, to dupe the
Losties. The Losties, going on information that Michael provides (and
truly believes), beleive that they have the upper hand over the Others,
when in fact it is all an elaborate ruse to prevent the Losties from
really knowing where they are located.
