Claire goes to see Malkin, a psychic, after she finds out she is pregnant. He refused to finish the reading after feeling something "blurry". After Claire & Thomas break up she sees him again and he insists that she must be the one to raise her child. He ends up convincing her to accept a ticket on flight 815 to see a couple in LA that wanted her baby.

Also in Raised By Another, we find out that Locke is from Tustin, California, the same city that Hurley's box company is located as revealed in Numbers. In All The Best Cowboys, Locke tells Boone he was a regional collections manager for a box company. One can draw the conclusion that Locke lived and worked in Tustin for a box company that Hurley happens to own.
